She Did, So I Can exists to restore identity, faith, hope, and healing in the next generation of girls by cultivate a thriving sisterhood rooted in Christ. Through mentorship and a powerful faith-based model, we empower girls to walk in wholeness and purpose. By integrating hands-on STEM education, we open doors of opportunity and equip them with future ready skills-so they not only dream big, but build bodly for the kingdom.

She Did, So I Can envisions healed and whole girls boldly walking in purpose—filled with joy, rooted in hope, married to godly men who break generational molds. These young women use their stories as tools for freedom, standing as living testimonies of God’s power. They are true daughters of God, breaking generational curses, graduating from high school, pursuing higher education, thriving in STEM, and leaning on one another in prayer and purpose.

We are a non-denomination based nonprofit that believes…

  1. 1. There’s only way to get to the Father and that’s through Jesus Christ.

  2. 2. The gifts given from the Holy Spirit are for today and greater works we’re supposed to do as followers of Christ.

  3. 3. Deliverance is a necessary tool in which Jesus used to set those in bondage free.

  4. 4. Everyone is created for a purpose to do greater things to further/edify the kingdom of God.

I’m Jaela Whitfield

She Did So I Can first started as a vision as Jaela walked across the Yard on Howard University campus. Where she envisioned little black girls standing in front of pink mirrors reciting their identity through Christ. Now as a doctoral student at University of Michigan, God has given her the green light to arise and build. Write the vision and make it plain. The nonprofit was birthed through a heavy burden to reunite his daughter back to Christ. Reveal their God-given purpose through exposing them to various STEM fields to encourage a love for STEM. Further explain Yahweh’s Characteristics through STEM experiments.
